Green Smoothie Bowl

Here’s a simple recipe that you can play with over the holiday season .

This Thanksgiving morning, make a smoothie bowl to start the day. I really like to make popsicles too. You can also make this your go to morning after holiday meal reboot.

6 ingredients.

You can chop some of the fruit ahead and put it in the freezer. When you are ready to blend, the frozen fruit helps make the consistency thick.

Green Smoothie Bowl

1/2 cup spinach

1/4 cup Kale

1 medium avocado

1 ripe mango

1/2 cup frozen banana slices

1/2 cup frozen pineapple small dice

1/4 to 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk

Garnishes: anything you’d like.

Here’s a few ideas: shredded coconut, almonds, granola, dried fruit

Method

Place all items in your favorite blender( I like a vitamix). Blend until all items are incorporated and smooth. Add ice if you’d like a thicker consistency.

This recipe makes 2, 8oz smoothies or bowls and 6 popsicles depending on your popsicle mold size.
