For many years, we have been coming to this charming farm for pumpkins and treats in the fall. The prized jack-o-lanterns my kids carve for Halloween night are always from our hayride trips into these fields. There is nothing better than choosing your jack-o-lantern in the patch where it grew.
Irons Fruit Farm is located in Lebanon, Ohio just about 20 minutes north of us here in Cincinnati. If you are in the Tristate area I highly recommend the trip. Yes, you will wait in lines for the hayride and the treats from the bakery, but the lines move along and are worth the experience. My family loves the apple cider donuts. I like the apple fritters. They are legendary, and as big as my head. Local honey, apples, carmel apples, cider, cookies and other items can be purchased in their shop. Don’t forget to try the corn maze. They make a new one each year and it is always a popular activity. I’m not posting a recipe yet, but I have made the best Homemade Applesauce from their apples in the past. Stay tuned!
